MILITARY AND MERCHANT NAVY UNIFORMS AND CLOTHINGS
The
work of classification and development in this sector is
still enormous.
The exhibits vary from Captain
Cagni's napped jacket at the time of his embarkation on the
"Stella Polaris", to the jackets of the Marine Infantry ("S.
Marco") in China.
And also, from the felucca (a
cocked hat) of Admiral Jachino to the uniform of Admiral
Legnani.
Ranks, epaulettes of high uniform, medals,
court-swords from the Navy Academy of Genoa and the Navy
of Tuscany, are presented together with the oldest uniforms
from the Academy of Livorno.
Of interest are the
uniforms of the various European Navies and a collection
of prestigious flags, as well as those of the various sailing
companies (Costa, Lloyds Triestino, etc.).
